Characters & Images
Add characters and manage their art in your story.
Characters give your lines a voice and add faces to your story — managed from the Characters page in the sidebar.
Adding a character
Add new creates a character and opens its editor: give it a name and an image, either uploaded (drag & drop or pick a file) or chosen from a built-in gallery. The same upload-or- gallery choice is available for your story's cover image on the Story Overview page.
Assigning a character to a line
A character isn't attached to anything just by existing in your roster — open a line in the beat editor and use its Select character... picker to assign one as that line's speaker. A line with no character shows No character assigned.
Description and the AI
A character's description is there for your own reference, and the AI Co-Writer reads it too — but only for characters actually assigned to a line within its current focus. A character sitting unused in your roster doesn't reach the AI, so assign it to a line if you want the assistant to know who it is.
